In my lifetime I cannot remember a time where sharks and shark attacks have been more in the mainstream media then now. Shark attacks in Australia and South Africa have made headlines in recent months. Just yesterday a surfer in Monterey County California was attacked. The twenty seven year old is hospitalized now but does not appear to have any life-threatening injuries.
